A van has rolled near Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake).
A police media spokeswoman said a call came in with reports of a van rolling on Tarawera Rd at 11.40am. "It is near the Top 10 Holiday Park," she said. "There is still someone in the vehicle but at this stage the level of injury is unknown."
A employee at the the Blue Lake Top 10 Holiday Park said they could see a fire engine and ambulance on the road. A Rotorua Daily Post reporter said the crash was about 100m from the Okareka turn off, heading towards Lake Rotokakahi (Green Lake). "Traffic is down to one lane and the van is on its side in the lane headed towards Tarawera."
