Well that was summer! Now we turn our clocks back and look forward to winter. Just a few reminders then….
♦ Smoke alarms – Do they work? Are the batteries still OK?
♦ Electric blankets – Are there any frayed wires? How about getting these checked out by a professional before the cooler nights arrive.
♦ Electric bar and fan heaters – Again, check the wiring and clean off the dust.
♦ Gas Heaters – Check for leaks, perished hoses and loose valves.
♦ Chimneys – Don’t forget to get them cleaned before you think about lighting the fire. (Does “It’s cold tonight, I think we’ll light the fire” sound familiar?)
Apart from that, there is not too much happening in our world at the moment. Let’s keep it that way… take care out there.
